Make a Healthy Choice: Vote

Early voting for the November elections began Monday. Seton Family of Hospitals will be hosting early voting beginning THIS WEEK at several facilities.

To vote, you will need Your Voter Registration Card or your Texas Driver’s License or ID (with accurate address).

If you recently registered to vote (or changed your address but haven’t received the card in the mail yet, the election workers may need some additional information to locate you on the rolls. Be sure you have your photo ID with the correct address, or, if you registered with a deputy registrar, you were given a yellow receipt with the registrar’s signature that you can present.

If you are a first time voter in your county, you may need to bring a photo ID in order to comply with a new Texas law.

Most candidates have their own web sites; the League of Women Voters in the Austin Area (http://www.lwvaustin.org/) has a non-partisan voters guide now available on line. If you aren’t sure who represents you, the Texas Secretary of State website at http://www.fyi.legis.state.tx.us/ might be helpful.
