CT Scan – Acute Stroke - Dr. John Bedolla developed this educational module to help clinicians caring for patients with potential acute stroke symptoms understand some of the special resources available at Seton Medical Center Austin because of its certification as an acute Stroke Treatment Center. Specifically, Seton Medical Center Austin has specialty Neurology consultation, specialty Imaging and specialty Interventional Neuroradiology available 24/7 to deliver state-of –the art treatment for acute stroke. With a proper understanding of the work-up process and the resources available at Seton Medical Center Austin, clinicians can have a major positive impact on both short-term and long-term outcomes for patients with acute stroke.
Laser Privileges - Physicians can now complete the education course online for Laser Privileges. Physicians applying for laser privileges will need to view the Physician Laser Safety Review PowerPoint presentation, review Seton Healthcare Network’s Policy and Procedure – Practicing Laser Safety, complete an exam and evaluation and complete the delineation form designating the laser wavelength(s) requested and submit the required supporting documentation along with the request form. It is the responsibility of each applicant to demonstrate their ability to perform the privileges requested and to provide documentation of education, training and experience as indicated.
