Senior Vice President, Fund Development

Gene Attal

Gene Attal is President of the SETON Fund and Vice President of Fund Development for the SETON Healthcare Network. In addition to his responsibilities for The Fund, Gene has administrative responsibility for the Children's Hospital Foundation of Austin, the Volunteer Services departments at all network facilities, SETON League House and 26 Doors Shopping Center. Gene received an undergraduate degree cum laude from The University of Texas and a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University. He joined SETON's management team in 1975. He is a recipient of the Arthur Page Award, given annually to the outstanding alumnus in public relations of the University of Texas, and is a Fellow of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. Gene is a trustee of the Heritage Society of Austin and an advisory director of the Helping Hand Home.



Vice President, Mission Affairs

Sister Nannette Gentile  D. C.

Sr. Nannette Gentile has been a member of the Daughters of Charity for more than 50 years and has been at SETON since 1998, when she joined the staff as a Network Education Coordinator. As Vice President of Mission Affairs, Sr. Nannette is responsible for organizing the Network's cultural orientation program, which teaches employees about SETON's mission and its values.

Sr. Nannette received a BA in philosophy and history from Marillac College. She also earned her MA in French and Ph.D. in Spanish from St. Louis University. Before coming to SETON, Sr. Nannette worked in education for 20 years and also served as a provincial councilor for nine years and as a visitatrix, or provincial superior, for nine years.
