John C. Brindley

John Brindley has more than 29 years of experience in healthcare leadership. He joined the Seton Family of Hospitals as executive vice president and chief operating officer in 1996. Previously, he was the chief operating officer at DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk, Va. He also held leadership positions at INOVA Fairfax Hospital and the Washington Hospital Center.

He has extensive experience in operations improvement, supply chain and product line management. Under his leadership, Seton Medical Center Austin and Seton Northwest Hospital achieved Magnet status, recognized as the gold standard for excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Seton Medical Center Austin has been designated Austin's most preferred hospital from 1999-2008 with the Consumer Choice award given by the National Research Corporation and recognized as one of the Solucient Top 100 Hospitals in the Country multiple times.

Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Alan Isaacson

Alan Isaacson joined Seton Shoal Creek Hospital in 2006. Before coming to Austin, he gained more than 20 years experience in behavioral health and rehabilitation services. Throughout his career he has traveled around the country in administrative roles that have included management of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric hospitals and clinics. His responsibilities have included supervision over a myriad of treatment settings such as neurobehavioral specialty hospital, rehabilitation hospital, residential treatment facilities, group homes, skilled units, assisted living and home health. Alan holds bachelor's and master's degrees in social work from the University of Texas with a clinical practice concentration and maintains a continued affiliation with the UT School of Social Work. He is a member of the National Alliance on Mental Illness, the Mayor's Mental Health Task Force, Williamson County Mental Health Committee, Travis County Psychiatric Stakeholder Committee and Travis County Children's Mental Health Task Force.

Vice President Medical Affairs

Kari Wolf, MD

Dr. Kari Wolf came to Seton Shoal Creek hospital in 2004 and through her leadership has added new clinical services, expanded the psychiatric residency programs and established partnerships with the public mental health system and the UT system. Prior to joining the Seton Family of Hospitals, Dr. Wolf was the Assistant Medical Director, for the University of Iowa Behavioral Health initiative and Associate Residency Training Director. During her tenure at The University of Iowa Dr. Wolf was also the representative for the Integrated Behavioral Health Network – a community based partnership of multiple medical entities.

She also serves as the Director of the Austin Medical Education Program Department of Psychiatry. She is Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at UT Southwestern for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Sciences, University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB).

Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Wolf brings both her extensive clinical expertise and her administrative and educational skills to the Seton Family of Hospitals. Dr. Wolf earned her Medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She completed her residency training at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics where she was Chief Resident and received numerous awards, including Resident of the Year twice.

Dr. Wolf currently serves on a number of medical and community based committees. She is also a frequently lectures on a variety of psychiatric and behavioral health subjects.

Susan Grice, RN, DNSc, MSN, CNS, NEA-BC

Susan joined Seton Shoal Creek in 2008 following leadership positions in Houston and Washington DC. She received her doctorate in nursing service from Catholic University. She has many years of experience in behavioral health inpatient and outpatient settings. Her areas of expertise include seclusion/restraint reduction, program development, and outcomes measurement. While in Houston, she served as chair of the Texas Medical Center Nurse Executive council, served on the Texas Hospital Association psychiatric services committee and led chapter revitalization efforts for the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
